Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Tuesday: Psalms 132, 147.1-12; 1 Corinthians 6.12-end;  Questions for reflection on Corinthians:
·       Grace is often confused with a license to do anything. How does this confusion happen?
·       Temple prostitutes were a common part of the culture in Corinth and socially acceptable with children raised for this life. Sounds shocking and yet there are millions still trafficked for the so called sex industry today. Pray for them today and the systems that allow this.
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
