Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Wednesday, Psalms81, 147.13-end; 1 Corinthians 7.1-24 Questions on Corinthians:
·       Paul takes the reality of human sexuality seriously and recognises that for many this will remain an important part of their Christian life. How would you summarise his advice? On what underlying principle, do you think, his advice arises?
·       Paul underscore the deeper truth that the Christian life and growth through the work of the Spirit happens under all and any circumstances of life. Does that make any difference to the sort of choices you will make today?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
