Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saturday: Psalm 68; Acts 21.17-36 Questions on Acts:
·       …and sure enough the prophecies come to pass. What does Paul do to ensure that he is acceptable to the Jews in Jerusalem? Does it work?
·       Take a moment to think of ways in which the church ‘accommodates’ contemporary practices in society. Is it right to do so? If so, why? If not, why not?
·       Pray today for the Anglican Communion across the world as it wrestles with these issues.
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it slowly and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
