Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Monday, 5/9; Psalms 27, 30; Acts 16.6-24 Questions for reflection on Acts:
·       Reflect on the scope of today’s reading. Being prevented by Jesus from going in one direction, being led to another to see a whole household accept Jesus, delivering a girl and ending up in prison!! All steps in God’s plan. Look again at your life today. Where is our Lord in the frustrations and dead-ends – as well as the joys? What’s He saying?
·       Notice too that the writer changes to “we” from “Paul”. The story that started in Acts many years before has now become Luke’s. What does it mean that it is now ours?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
