Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Tuesday: Psalms 127, 128, 131; John 1.43-end;  Questions for reflection on John:
·       The disciples are in different places, living different lives but Jesus knows them and their calling. It is the same with us too. What does it make you feel that you Jesus knew you and what you were doing before you decided to follow him?
·       As ever in John, the conversation between Jesus and others do not follow as “normal dialogue”! Rather Jesus says what is most important… “What are you seeking?”; “Follow me?” How do you answer these two questions today?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
