Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Tuesday: Psalms 48, 52; Revelation 11.1-14 Questions for reflection on Revelation:
·       The picture is of a measured but terrible time – a time where God seems almost absent – and yet the time is contained (measured). Pray today for those who suffer at the hand of uncaring and callous forces.
·       Those who speak out for peace and justice will always find themselves in conflict with those who desire power and control (v10). Pray also today for our world leaders – that they will not fail in the face of the great temptations of power.
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
