Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Wednesday, St. Matthew; Psalm 119.65-72; Matthew 9.9-13 Questions on Matthew:
·       St. Matthew as a tax collector had placed the opportunity to make money over many things – including relationships with those he lived among. Jesus changes this. Is there anything that in your life that you are still putting before Jesus call to love God and others?
·       Can you think of a time when you have been prompted to follow Jesus in a very particular way? What came of it? Pray for clear guidance today for the next step in your walk with Him.
Does their insight shed any light on your own experiences or that of our church?
