Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Friday: Psalms 88; Acts 28.1-16 Questions for reflection on Acts:
·       The legacy of St. Paul’s visit to Malta is greatly celebrated on the island. What does it mean to you that the history of our faith is rooted in real people and real places as opposed to “ideas” about God?
·       Jesus called Paul to walk a very specific path in his mission. He listened carefully and acted in the courage his faith provided for him. Does this inspire you or intimidate you in your own calling to follow Jesus? What does your answer suggest you should pray for today?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
