Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Friday: Psalms 142, 144; Luke 22.1-13; Questions for reflection on Luke:
·       Jesus disciples are busy doing very different activities. One betrays while others prepare for worship. Pray today for those in the church who are struggling with their faith – that they will not lose the hope of Grace.
·       The Anglican Communion is struggling to stay together in the face of different views of what remaining faithful to Jesus’s teaching means today. Pray for wisdom and compassion for the leaders of the church as they wrestle to hold us together.
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it
