Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Monday 8/2: Psalms 27, 30; Galatians 1  Questions for reflection based on Galatians:

·       What (rather unusual) credentials does St. Paul give for the authenticity of his message? Why is this important? As we go through Galatians, we will see that their Gospel of Grace had become corrupted by a return to ‘keeping a law’. Why do you think Paul was so worried about the legalistic aspects of their practices? Is there anything we need to be careful of?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it slowly and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
