Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.


Tuesday, 5/1; Psalms 8, 48; Colossians 4.2-end; Questions for reflection on Colossians:
  • What does Paul mean when he advises the Colossian church to "devote themselves to prayer"? What do you think this looks like? What gets in the way? If there are any ideas that speak to our church, please share them.
  • Is there a particular phrase or verse that speaks to you today? Repeat it slowly to yourself and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you through it.

    "Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt". What is the 'salt' referring to? Salt is used to bring out the flavour.

    Devote to prayer ...be consistent and persistant.pray for protection and removal of obstacles.
    As a Church come together more often for corporate prayer.to pray for ;-
    open doors
    our leade rs and evangelists to be filled with The Spirit,bold ,speaking the truth in love.
    wrestle in prayer so as to strenghthen each member to see to completion the work and vision he has for each on of us as individuals and corporately for the extension of His Kingdom especiallly on these islands. Amen
