Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Tuesday: Psalms 32, 36; John 15.12-17  Questions for reflection on John:
·       Love manifests itself in sacrifice for others - Jesus is the supreme example, of course. Give yourself a few minutes to take stock of where in your life love is being shown in this way.
·       Ask yourself why live life in the way you do. We have many reasons and motives. How does love differ as a motive to other drives we may experience? Pray for the Holy Spirit to continue to shape his right heart and mind within you.
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
