Jesus points to
the joy of the resurrection following the sorrow of His passion. The disciples,
as yet, cannot see this. It is often easy to become so immersed in the troubles
of the day that we lose the wonder of the eternal life that we are embarked
upon. Take a few moments to let this truth sink in again. You are God’s child
made for eternity.

Pray for anyone
you know today who may be overburdened with a difficult or painful situation.
Pray both for deliverance from this and for this wider vision of their lives
for them.
What
verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through
it.
