Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saturday: Psalms122, 128, 150; 1 Corinthians 9.1-15 Questions on Corinthians:
·       Paul must have felt exposed to criticism on all fronts and wanted to do everything he could to be blameless before others – even to the point of remaining single and supporting himself – so there could be no accusation of profiteering with the Gospel.
·       Pray for church leaders across the world today that they too will remain focussed on their calling without the temptations of lust and greed. Pray too, for those who have fallen.
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
