Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Monday, 23rd Jan, Psalms40, 108; 1 Corinthians 9.15-end Questions for reflection on Corinthians:
·       Paul makes great sacrifices for the Gospel and often they are misunderstood. When he acts out of humility, he is charged with weakness; when he lays down his heritage and social standing, he is looked down upon. Why is he so misunderstood by so many?
·       Are there times when you feel misunderstood for walking as a Christian? Where does your consolation come from? Give thanks for that today.
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
