Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Friday: Psalms 77, 98; 2 Thessalonians 3 Questions for reflection on Thessalonians:
·       Some interpret Paul’s call from idleness as arising from some believers giving up on this life in anticipation of the next. Why is this so wrong?
·       Jesus wants us to be motivated by the love of others – not just ourselves or Him. How does this challenge and change our motives towards being active and engaged in working for God’s Kingdom?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
