Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Tuesday: Psalms 5, 147.1-12; Revelation 2.1-11 Questions for reflection on Revelation:
·       Each church (ours included) is a lampstand for the light of the Gospel, fuelled by the Spirit. But we have this gift in “jars of clay” (2 Co 4:7). Each letter shows the work of the Spirit and the weakness. What is being shown in to the two churches here?
·       What does it mean “to abandon the love you had at first”? What could cause this? Is  there any way in challenge could be made of our church today?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
