Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Wednesday, St. Bartholomew: John 1.43-51; Psalms 86, 117; Questions for reflection on Acts:
·       Bartholomew (or Nathaniel, hence today’s reading) was destined for to do great things for God. His name (“son of the furrows”) implies he may have been a ploughman and with Philip has his friend in the Lord is traditionally associated with the evangelisation of Armenia! Do you think that you are still constrained by your past in your aspirations for God?
·       Do you have a close friend in the Lord that you could partner with to think and pray together about how the Lord could release you together into mission?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
