Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Wednesday: Psalm 119.105-128; Acts 7.17-43; Questions for reflection on Acts:
·       Look again at how Stephen gives his account of the Hebrew’s history with God – particularly verses 17, 25, 27, 37, and 39. How does this prepare the ground for Stephen to speak about Jesus?
·       Verse 17 says “as the time of the promise drew near”. God work with whole generation over long periods of time. We mortals often struggle with this. Is there a promise or a vision that God has given to you that you need to take hold of again today?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
