Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saturday: Psalms 20, 21, 23; Acts 15.36-16.5 Questions on Acts:
·       Such a contrast to yesterday’s reading – a very sharp disagreement. What do you think of the reason for the disagreement (vs 37 – 39)? What would you have said to them? Would you have taken sides? If not, why not? If so, with whom?
·       In the end, two mission journeys instead of one – the Gospel multiplied. Is there an incident in your past that is still ‘sore’ but on reflection, has been used by God for good? Pray for a new perspective and healing for that today.
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it slowly and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
