Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Monday, 4/7; Psalms 123, 124, 125, 126; Luke 20.41-21.4: Questions on Luke:
·       Jesus is pointing us towards true thankful living. The widow is able to give from her poverty, sacrificially. Is this something you feel you are able to do?
·       Sacrifice takes many forms but it is always giving up something we value and desire (time, resources etc…) for the greater desire to see God’s Kingdom grow. What is God calling you to sacrifice for the sake of something greater?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
