Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Wednesday, 15/6: Psalm 77; Luke 16.1-18; Questions for reflection on Luke:
·       Maybe this is the strangest parable in the Bible!!? But the manager was able to use his gifts and talents in a very crafty way when it was something he really cared about – himself!! What would we be able to do if we had the same passion he had for the Gospel?
·       The Old Testament law was given to nurture a society in love. In that sense, the law of love will always remain. Pray for those who legislate today – that  they will have justice and compassion at the heart of their formulations.
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
