Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thursday, 30/6: Psalms 113, 115; Luke 20.9-19; Questions for reflection on Luke:
·       The parable gives a clue as to what the motivations of those who were opposing Jesus were at this time. What are they?
·       Do you ever feel angry or frustrated when people in the church try to change things? How can you discern whether or not their actions are being directed by Jesus? Does this make a difference to how you feel about any particular person today?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
