Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saturday, 25/6: Psalms 96, 97, 100; Luke 19.11-27; Questions on Luke:
·       The parable speaks of a nobleman who became angry at one of his servants. What is the cause of his anger? What was the motive of the servant who is the subject of his anger?
·       Is your own fear and reluctant stopping you doing something for God today? Is it more frightening to get on with or to avoid doing it!!
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it slowly and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
