Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Monday, 30/5: Psalms 27, 30; Luke 12.1-12: Questions on Luke:
·       Jesus draws a contrast between those who worry about what others think and those who worry about what God things. Why is this difference so important to our integrity?
·       Jesus does not say “if” his followers need to defend themselves but “when”. Has there been a time when you have needed to give an account of your faith to an accuser? If so, what did you say? If not, why not?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
