Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Friday 8/4: Psalms 57, 61; Colossians 3.12-4.1 Questions for reflection on Colossians:
·       A pattern for life! Do any of these exhortations feel out of place today? Why? What difference does it make if all of these aspects are interpreted from the perspective of Christian service?
·       Paul does not challenge slavery directly here but what would be the ultimate consequence of Christian slaves and Christian masters? Can this principle be applied today to other areas of injustice or human bondage?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
