Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Friday 22/4: Psalm 33; Luke 4.14-30 Questions for reflection on Luke:
·       Look at Jesus’ priorities in vs 18 and 19. How do they compare with your own plans for the weeks ahead?
·       Jesus’ hearers get cross when he starts to look at God’s blessing extending outside their own ‘kind’. How can we as a church be more proactive in reaching those we don’t usually mix with?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
