Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Tuesday: Psalms 6, 9; Hebrews 5.11-6.12 Questions for reflection based on Hebrews:
·      The writer suddenly seems to get frustrated with his readers because despite all their learning they have not yet started to teach themselves. Is that fair? How does that make you feel?
·      Why is it “impossible” for those who have experienced the Holy Spirit in the way the writer describes, to fall away and then return? What is happening here?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
