Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Monday 21/3: Psalm 41, Luke 22.1-23 Questions for reflection based on Luke:
·       The passage begins and ends with motif of betrayal. How does Jesus deal with this?
·       Jesus takes the ancient practice of the Passover and reinvents it to point to a new covenant. Take a moment to reflect on the meaning of this profound shift. What does it mean to you when you receive this same bread and wine?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
