Friday 4/3: Psalm 22; Hebrews 7.11-end Question for reflection based on Hebrews:

· The writer is describing how much better the new basis of relationship with God is (through faith in Jesus) is to the old way (through keeping the law). What does he say about this?

· Take a moment to reflect on the wonder of Jesus – perfect yet compassionate; unchanging but not unmoved; King yet friend. Take a few moments simply to praise Him.

What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.

Daily Prayer

Lord, open our lips
and our mouth shall proclaim your praise.

Blessed are you, sovereign God,

creator of heaven and earth,

to you be praise and glory for ever.

As your living Word, eternal in heaven,

assumed the frailty of our mortal flesh,

may the light of your love be born in us

to fill our hearts with joy as we sing:

Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy

Blessed be God for ever

The night has passed, and the day lies open before us;
let us pray with one heart and mind.

Silence is kept.

As we rejoice in the gift of this new day, so may the light of your presence, O God, set our hearts on fire with love for you; now and for ever. Amen.

Say the Benedictus with Christians around the world:
Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel, who has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty Saviour, born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets God promised of old to save us from our enemies, from the hands of all that hate us,
To show mercy to our ancestors, and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath God swore to our father Abraham:

and the Lord’s Prayer:

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
