Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Wednesday 3/2: Psalm 119.1-3; Matthew 27.45-56 Questions for reflection based on Matthew:

·        Jesus cries out with the words of Psalm 22. See again how the psalm ends. With that in mind, why do you imagine that Jesus used these words?

·        Matthew records tumultuous events happening over Jerusalem. What do these symbolise? Why was that so hopeful in such a dark hour?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it slowly and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
