Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Wednesday 27/1: Psalms 45, 46; Matthew 26.36-46 Questions for reflection based on Matthew:

·        Jesus faces his real human fears. He knows what happens next. What is the result of his wrestling in prayer?

·        It is easy to underestimate the power of others prayers for us. Yet It is what Jesus asks for in his most difficult hour. How can you organise your prayer life to be more consistent in praying for others?
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it slowly and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
