Daily Prayers and Readings from Holy Trinity, Corfu.

Please include in your prayers:
- the economic situation in Greece
- the crisis in Syria - for wisdom and compassion.
- the millions of displaced people in the Ukraine.
- the refugees and the European response to their needs
A special prayer for the UK at this time

Eternal God, Light of the nations,
in Christ you make all things new:
guide our nation in the coming days through the inspiration of your Spirit,
that understanding may put an end to discord and all bitterness.
Give us grace to rebuild bonds of trust
that together we may work for the dignity and flourishing of all;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Monday 1/2: Psalms 1, 2, 3; Matthew 27.11-26;  Questions for reflection based on Matthew:

·        Are there ways in which you find yourself still ‘going with the crowds’ even though you know in your heart that Jesus would lead you in a different way?

·        Do you think that that Pilate’s hand washing really exonerates him of guilt? What will?

·        Do you suffer with feelings of guilt? Remember what Jesus has done to release you from them and transform those feelings into prayers of thanks.
What verse speaks to you today? Repeat it slowly and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through it.
